Hey beautifulls! Some exciting news for you; the excellent, legendary and ground-breaking chill-out rok festival Kyläsaarirok - Village Island Rok is back!!! Get yer calendars, the grand date of the Second Coming is November 4th 2000!. This year will again feature a unique atmosphere and a positive vibration for everyone; lots of wonderful bands on the bill; a rock DJ; a gaming corner; activities for the kids - all absolutely free-of-charge! Hey beautifuls. Things are looking active in the Blanket camp; the Fenix gig of last night was added to the Played Page. Also the Press Page was updated with one review of "3". The new home pages as well as the t-shirts and everything are on their way slowly but surely, so it'll be good, I'm quite sure. Take care.

Ok now. Finally I took the time to do a little manual labor and added some fine pictures of us supperstarrs to the pulsating Photous Page. The Man - OJ Hyttinen - has the talent as you can see.

Also, the hugely essential Played Page has been updated to include the funky-ass Semifinal Gig of last week. Super.

Hey y'all. My head is still buzzing from last night's super-fun evening. Thanks to everybody to took a little of their time and money and showed up creating a great atmorsphere in Semifinal. Also, everlasting thanks to Mr. Jon who set up the evening so well for us and also came up with fine feedback. Good to be back from a super vacation. It won't be long until Your Favorite Rogk Band - Blanket - will be playing live to masses at the super wonderful Club Semifinal in downtown Helsinki on August 17th 2000 which is a Thursday. The club always has a good vibe and great sound, so we are very excited about the opportunity. We are joined by the Wonders-from-Vantaa, Ulmala, and a third band called Hagmen. Bring the kids, it should be great!

And other stuff, we just recieved a bunch of super-cool photos of us beautifuls taken by our beloved Jussi Hyttinen at the Ääni & Wimma band competition final. We'll put them up in the Photos page as soon as possible.

Also, we are planning to print some T-shirts sometime soon now. If YOU know of a way to print stuff on T-shirts at a low price, contact me (vkononen@cc.hut.fi) and you might win a free shirt! Hey, added the Factory gig of last night to the precious and highly important Played page. Again, thanks to all of the wonderful people who showed up, hope you'll be giving your support to Grin as they have a huge gig at Louhela Jam tomorrow.

DAMN! Due to some problems with local Vantaa restaurant/club owners having a lousy attitude towards living and breathing music, the Louhela Jam Club set for June 4 has been cancelled. A shame.

Also, on happier note, a very happy birthday numero uno to Leandro di Vincenzo!

Well, this ääni&vimma band competition treated us very well to the end, we came in a surprising second (2nd) right after the wonderful pop band, Clumsy. We are humbled and empowered by the good will shown to us and will turn this into something positive during the rest of spring and early summer, at least a few live gigs are going to happen. Hey people. Just a quicky... The stars were in the right rooms, we had a lot of karma points in hand, so somehow we made it to the Final of the Ääni ja Vimma band contest! Pretty amazing... So if you have nothing to do on Saturday, come by Gloria (Pieni Roobertinkatu 12-14) and give us a cheer, I don't know the time yet... Later.

Hey. The reality of "a couple of weeks" in evident yet again, as we got the always important packaging deal for the Blanket3 release in tact just last week. But anyways, it looks cool, so maybe it was worth the hassle. The whole deal is in the PUBlications page.

Blanket participated in the cool Ääni ja Vimma -band contest and so far, we are in the semifinals which are happening at Gloria between April 10th and 14th, Blanket is on on April 11th, all support is highly appreciated! Check the exact listings here.

Also, we have at least one live show coming up, we're playing at the Louhela Jam Club somewhere around the 3rd of June, we'll let you know on the exact info when we know more ourselves. Also a new Kyläsaarirok - Village Island Rok Festival - is in plans as well as a few more club gigs in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. It's getting active, stay tuned.
